DELHI TO LADDAKH ( DEL -IXL) : DELHI TO LADAKH ( UNPLANNED TRIP ) Travel & Food Expense

DAY 1 (DELHI TO LEH)

Its a random and expected trip with my friend . So we booked a flight to leh (ixl) early in the morning costs INR 6400 per person (last minute flight ) and started packing in a very short time around 40-50 minutes.

After that we booked OLA from my home to IGI T2 (Delhi Airport) we reached there around in 50 mins . Checked in our luggage and Took the Boarding Passes. And now at that time we were ready to fly with excitement and without knowing weather conditions in Leh.

After 50 mins we boarded our Flight from DEL - IXL .

REACHING LEH :-

As we landed Leh airport a announcement was made by pilots that photography isn't allowed at leh airport as its a indian army base .

LODGE

After deboarding aircraft we waited for our luggage and took a cab to leh main city . As i told you earlier that this is an unplanned trip so there was no hotels booking for us ( we forgot to book that in exitement ) so now we have to find a suitable and budget friendly hotel for us .

We contacted many Hotels but most of them were full at that time .Lastly we got a lodge near main market in pocket friendly budget of INR 1500 per day.

Now its time to rest for 1 day . Because we were suffering from high altitude sickness.

DAY 2 (BAD WEATHER)

BAD WEATHER

Now its time to roam local market and see local attractions as we planned firstly we will go to Khardung-La Pass but due to weather conditions local authority wasnt issuing passes to go there .

So we decided to roam in local and see some local attarctions. We booked a cab in advance for our ongoing trip LEH = KHARDUNG-LA = NUBRA VALLEY. So we booked a cab(can take upto 7persons) for INR 15000 for total 2 day trip . Now we were eagerly waiting for nest day to start our main journey . (RAID KHARDUNG-LA)

DAY 3 (LEH TO KHARDUNG-LA TO NUBRA)

As our Driver reached our guesthouse at sharp 9 am we went to DM office (District Magistrate Office ) and applied for our Pass. They took 1000 INR to issue that pass for 5 days . Now its time to start our journey .

PASS

We started our journey from Leh main bazaar with some little shopping like cigrattes and oxygen cylinder ( i didnt bought that ) but you can take if you have breathing problems.

On the way we found a punjabi dhaba and eat our breakfast.

Now we started to go up from plains to mountain.

SOUTH PULLU

Firstly we have to show our passes to Leh local police at South Pullu (Gateway to khardung-la ) after showing our passes we were allaowed to go khardungla pass .

Alot of Breath taking curves and deep frozen canyons .

Lastly after 2 hour ride we reached Khardung-La ( Worlds Highest Motorable Road).

Stayed there around 3 hours due to bad weather and avalanche .

After BRO (BORDER ROAD ORGANIZATION) Cleared the road we started our journey again towards nubra now it's around 3pm .
